How to get Amazon Prime for FREE and its benefits!

How to get Amazon Prime for FREE and its benefits!

The Amazon Prime membership, as the name already says is a service provided by the giant online retailer Amazon. Most people believe that the subscription only gives unlimited one-day delivery on qualified purchases via the store. However being a Prime member comes with so many more perks! Recently my friend ordered an item using Prime to get next day delivery. I have mentioned the other benefits, which I am regularly using to make the most of my membership. I was shocked that my friend was not aware what else their Prime included. She was equally surprised to hear what other benefits it included.

Amazon Prime Students on the other hand get all the benefits of Prime members with a 6 months FREE trial, then £4.49/month (50% off regular Prime).

Now I am sure you wonder how you could get the membership for free, right?

Well you can sign up to the 30-day FREE trial for regular Prime or the 6 months Free trial for Prime Student, then cancel just before the trial expires out to avoid any membership fees.

To cancel the trial before it ends, click on ‘Your Account’ then select ‘Do not upgrade’ before your free trial ends.

How to sign up to free trial?

Signing up to the free trial is simple. Go to the free 30-day Amazon Prime page or free 6 months Amazon Prime Student page and click ‘Start your 30-day free trial” and for students it will be a button saying “Start your 6-months trial”.

If you already had an Amazon account before this trial, the Prime trial will be automatically applied to your account. If you haven’t used Amazon before, your will need to create an account with Amazon first. It will ask your for payment details. However it will not charge you unless you do don’t cancel the free prime trial before it expires.

Can I get another free trial?

Amazon allows customers to one free trial every 12 months. You may be lucky and eligible to another trial. Check by going on the Amazon Prime page.

My verdict on Amazon Prime

I am a Prime member for quiet a while and am paying the £8.99 a month subscription fee. In my opinion it is worth the fee, because I regularly order from Amazon and like to receive my items as quick as possible as well as making the most of the unlimited free prime delivery on eligible purchases.

Some of you may already know I don’t really watch live TV, as I am not keen on the long advertisements. However I do have Netflix and Prime Video. Since my Prime includes Prime Video, it will allow me to stream unlimited movies and TV shows from wherever I am within the UK. Pretty much like Netflix, but some films are only on Netflix and it’s the same with Prime Video. Certain movies I am only able to watch on Prime Video, hence I have both.

Since my daughter and I are bookworms, I have downloaded the Amazon Kindle app on my phone and my daughter’s iPad. Through the Kindle app we can access the “Prime Reading” section and have access to thousands of books and some recent magazines for free with the Prime membership.

I love music and listen to music whenever I cook, go to the gym, drive and work. Hence I often use Prime Music, which on its own is £9.99 per month, but included for free for all Prime members.  I like using this more than I use Spotify, because I can listen to my music add free and there are over 40 million songs to choose from. It also lets you listen to your music online and offline just like Spotify. To listen to music ad free on Spotify costs also £9.99/month. You might as well get Amazon Prime and pay £1 a month less. Plus enjoy benefit for all the Prime perks as well! For Students it will cost even less!

Oh and another thing I love about using Amazon is the Amazon Wishlist. Give your wish list to someone that would like to buy you a gift for your birthday, christmas or another special occasion. This way you wont get random gifts that you wouldn’t use and end up left in the cupboard.
